Music

I’ve been writing songs for many years, sometimes alone and sometimes with other musicians.

These recordings aren’t an attempt to manufacture a new career as a recording artist. They’re a way of getting songs out of notebooks, old recordings and hard drives, and producing versions that sound much closer to the music I originally heard in my head.

Some contain my own performances and original recordings. Others use digital production and AI-assisted tools for arrangement, instrumentation or vocals. Where songs were written with other people, their contribution and authorship are credited.

The songs, the writing and the ideas behind them remain the point.

This is an archive of that work.

Manifestations 2019

1.24-22D-65OPV2ET7SYPEY4DNY4GX2V4GI.0.2-5

Manifestations was our first Re:formation album, released in 2019. Written and recorded with Andy and Geoff, its sixteen tracks capture an earlier period of our songwriting and playing together. It was the beginning of a body of recorded work that eventually led to Pride & Vanity.

Pride & Vanity 2025

1.90.3-YMR3243PZJECWJSTIPCSGTKGME.0.1-7

Pride & Vanity is an album of songs written and recorded with my friends Andy and Geoff. We wrote, played and recorded the material together, and the album captures that period of our music-making. Some of these songs may appear elsewhere on this site in new arrangements, but these are the original versions we made together.

New Recordings – 2026 onwards

Since 2026 I’ve been revisiting songs written across several decades, alongside newer material, using contemporary recording and production tools to develop them into finished recordings.

Some begin with my own voice, guitar or earlier recordings; others are reconstructed from the original lyrics, melodies and arrangements. Digital and AI-assisted tools are used where they help with instrumentation, arrangement, production or vocals.

These recordings aren’t yet an album. For now, this is where I’ll collect them as they are completed.
